In 2015, our founder, Bulelani Balabala, saw a critical gap. He saw immense entrepreneurial talent in townships, isolated by a lack of access to skills, markets, and networks. TEA was created to be that bridge.
What began with a single workshop in a Tembisa community hall has grown into a national movement. Today, we have a footprint across all 9 provinces, having directly impacted over 100,000 micro and small enterprises. Our unwavering mission is to build an integrated economic future where township entrepreneurs are key drivers of growth.
TEA is led by our founder and Group CEO, Bulelani Balabala, a nationally recognized entrepreneur and G20 Startup20 taskforce member known as the "Township Entrepreneur Developer." His on-the-ground experience and national influence ensure our strategy remains authentic, innovative, and aligned with the real needs of the communities we serve. His #GetThingsDone philosophy is embedded in our agency's DNA.
